Rent-to-Own Sheds: How It Works and What You Need to Start
If paying the full price of a shed all at once is a stretch, rent-to-own is built for that. We're a family-owned shop in Lake City, and we do rent-to-own on our wood sheds and cabins every day. Here's exactly how it works, with real numbers.

How rent-to-own works here
You pick your building, put down a small deposit, and we get it delivered. Your first monthly payment is due 30 days after you order, so the deposit is all you pay to get started. There's no credit check and approval is instant. All we need is the deposit and two IDs.
What the deposit is
It depends on the width of the building: 8 ft wide is $100 down, 10 ft wide is $150 down, and 12 ft wide is $250 down. Buildings wider than 12 ft are quoted with the monthly payment only.
What your monthly payment looks like
We show real prices up front. Here are a few examples from our lot, with the monthly payment plus tax:
10x16 side lofted barn at $5,645 cash: $220 a month plus tax, with $150 down
10x24 cabin at $8,945 cash: $342 a month plus tax, with $150 down
12x32 center lofted porch cabin at $13,545 cash: $513 a month plus tax, with $250 down
Your financing choices
Rent-to-own isn't the only way to pay. We also offer financing options based on credit approval, with lower rates. Rent-to-own has instant approval and no credit check, so you can pick whichever fits you best, and we'll walk you through all of your options.
Why people choose rent-to-own
A shed adds usable space and value to your property, so it's an investment in your place, not just a purchase. Rent-to-own lets you start now instead of waiting until you've saved the whole amount. Most folks put the space to work right away: storage for lawn equipment, a workshop, a hobby room, or a playhouse for the kids.
What to have ready
Know where the building will go, and whether the ground is fairly level with a clear path for delivery. Bring two IDs and your deposit. Ask about delivery too, since it's free within 50 miles of Lake City on many buildings and we'll tell you exactly what applies to yours.
Cash or rent-to-own?
If you have the cash, paying it is the simplest route. If you'd rather keep your savings for other things, you can start with rent-to-own for $100 to $250 down, or ask about financing with credit approval. We'll give you the numbers up front so there are no surprises.
