Frequently asked questions
What should I expect from my first session?
The initial consultation lasts approximately 1 hour in which we will discuss your emotional state in relation to various aspects of your life. I invite you to tell me as much as you want about what brought you to contact me, and we can also talk about what you know - or don't know - about the florals.
The purpose of this consultation is to help identify the emotional problems you are having difficulties withso that I will be able to prescribe a combination of personalised remedies for you and clear instructions on how to take Bach's remedies.
Consultations can be made in person, by phone via Skype or WhatsApp.
For appointments outside of the UK, I send an email with the prescription formula to be handled at a pharmacy of your choice.
How should I prepare for my first treatment?
As with any therapeutic consultation it is important to book at least 1 hour
in a quiet place without interruption so that we can address all aspects that can benefit from the action of the flowers.
If it is a video conference, make sure your internet connection is good so that the session happens normally without any harm to both parties.
Do I have to have a problem using the flowers? How do I identify this need?
There is no need to have a "problem" to take flowers - but the repetition of our thoughts and intense emotions builds our reality. We experience in the "physical world" what we are experiencing in the emotional world
Emotions such as pride, fear, hatred, selfishness, ignorance, instability, insecurity are contrary to our perfect Unity. Such emotions experienced repeatedly are what cause the harmful effects in our body that we know as diseases.
Do they cause addiction or do they cause side effects?
Bach Flowers are safe for the whole family, including babies, pregnant women, the elderly and even pets and plants. They do not cause side effects or harmful reactions that are harmful, do not create psychological or organic dependency and there is no danger of overdose.
They are even recognized by the World Health Organization, but they must be prepared taking into account the characteristics of the user.
Do flowers help to treat terminal or chronic diseases?
Floral flowers are no substitute for traditional treatments, however they are excellent as a complementary therapy and deeply assist the emotional reactions a person faces during more delicate and profound treatments.
How long does a treatment last?
This depends on the client and the therapeutic objective. Just as we find therapists who work weekly with their clients, there are others who prefer to wait for the end of the flower bottle (20 to 30 days). There is no way to define duration, but for those who identify with the floral language, they usually keep the process naturally ongoing without the concern of beginning and end.
Can I take flowers and other medicines? Are they recognized by WHO? (World Health Organization).
Bach Flowers are considered a complementary therapy approved and recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO). Notably, they are safe to be taken in conjunction with other medicines without contraindication. In London some hospitals use the florals with traditional medicine as a complementary treatment for their patients.
How long is a personalised Floral botle is valid for?
The expiry date is indicated on the label on the bottle by the pharmacy or producer. The usual period of use is 20 to 30 days which the standard treatment length. (taking 4 drops, 4 times a day). However, although the use is indicated in 30 days, it may last longer due to the preservative used (cognac, apple vinegar, among others).
How long does it take to feel the effect of the "Rescue" combination for crises? - What about the other remedies?
As the name suggests, the crisis formula "Rescue" works very quickly, because people use it for emergencies, not for rooted problems.
Other remedies can also work quickly, but if you are dealing with something that has been going on for a long time, it can take weeks or even months to see a real difference.
How many remedies can I take at the same time in the floral combination?
Dr. Bach's indication is to use a maximum of six or seven essences at the same time, and this is the rule we suggest to people.
It is quite common for people to feel that they need more than six or seven remedies. Some may feel they need 12, 15, 20 essences. The answer to this question is to think about how you feel now and deal with it.
Let's make a list of priorities. Some feelings are things you felt yesterday or last week or ten years ago, so you can leave them out. Let's deal with your main feelings first, the others will have their time to be addressed. Like the "peel the onion" treatment.
What is the probability of a reaction occurring and how are the reactions caused?
Remedies work by eliminating negative feelings and emotions. Sometimes the emotions that are being processed have been suppressed, and in order to make them disappear, it seems that they need to be cleaned from the system. In very rare cases, this seems to take the form of a rash, headache or unexpected feelings can arise. When these things happen, there is no reason to stop taking the medicines, they are temporary and do not last more than 4 days.
That's why, even if we don't face difficult moments, we can take the flowers, either to maintain a harmonic state or to continue developing and evolving our perception.
What makes a person think that Floral doesn't work with them?
Several factors can cause the therapy not to work, which is really rare.
But the most important thing is that the essence only acts if it is really the right one.
If the individual takes a floral with unnecessary essences (which do not work what they really need) they will not feel anything. If you take a "wrong" essence, it will have no effect, most of the time.
This is the main reason why they think that Floral does not work. However, this is not the therapist's CULPA. It is worth remembering that the therapist needs to approach the client and identify the issues carefully. One needs to be honest and open so that the "flower map" id the right combination for the client. The most important thing in this case is to help the therapist, facilitate and make the process viable, so that everything works synchronically.
